Terms and Conditions

Hey! Read this! 100% jargon-free!

My Terms and Conditions are pretty straightforward:

All sales are final, with rare exceptions:

If you change your mind and contact me to cancel an order before I’ve sent it off for printing (which I try to do quickly so you’ll get your print quickly), I will provide a full refund only if I can be reached and can communicate with the print shop quickly enough.

I can’t guarantee that I will always be quickly reachable, since I often go off-grid on photo trips and may send an order out immediately before hitting the trail for a week. It’s just me here, no staff, so be patient if I don’t get back to you immediately. I try to accommodate people’s needs because I know that sometimes “life happens” and circumstances change, but please order thoughtfully the first time.

If the print arrives damaged during shipping or seems to have any other defects, please contact me immediately so we can arrange return shipping and a replacement if appropriate. Replacements are limited to prints of the same image in the same size (including any choice of mounting, framing, etc.). No refunds or changes to the order.

When you receive your order, please unpack it carefully! The Rag Baryta paper is very stout and will re-flatten easily, but can still be damaged by rough handling or greasy, dirty hands. I recommend opening the package carefully, wearing new, clean cotton gloves, as soon as you receive it to verify the order and that it arrived safely.

Then carefully repack it and take it to a professional frame shop for mounting and framing. I do not recommend cheap, off-the-shelf frames, since they rarely have archival-grade coatings, glues, etc. Professional framing is expensive, but well worth the investment.

The print shop’s production time is usually under a week. Add a few days to that for shipping. Rush printing is sometimes available, but will usually incur an extra charge, as will expedited shipping. Contact me first if you need this and I’ll do the best I can to accommodate your needs.

When your order ships, I’ll provide you a tracking number via email.

If your print is returned as undeliverable because of any circumstance beyond my control (e.g. you filled in the wrong address), you will be responsible for shipping charges to send it again.

When I receive your order, I’ll mail you a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity separately. If you’d like a personalized note, let me know and I’ll happily add it. If for some reason you haven’t received the Certificate by the time you receive your print, please contact me.

For orders paid by check or money order, I will hold the order until the check clears. There will be a $25 bounced check fee added to your order once other payment arrangements are made.

I really appreciate that you want to support my work and I want you to be happy with your prints! Making the original images involves a lot of time and effort and they mean a lot to me, but it means much more when others can find enjoyment in them.

Hi, glad you like my photos. Please contact me first before using them and always credit the source. I'm happy to license them no charge to activist groups and for a fee for commercial use. Contact info here: https://www.mikaljakubal.com/about/
